The Voice Australia Season 11

The Voice Australia is set to return to screens soon for a remarkable eleventh season.

And in a new first-look trailer for the Channel Seven talent show, the drama reaches fever pitch with coaches Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy and Keith Urban all egging on a hesitant Rita Ora.

Speaking about what she listens for in a voice, Rita says: ‘I’m listening for passion. I want to hear how much the person loves to sing and their passion for their artistry.’

Keith adds: ‘What will get me the most is when I feel something; when there’s a truth in their voice that speaks to me beyond the sound of just their vocal and I’m able to feel it deeply.’

Last year’s winning coach, Guy, says he’s searching for that one-in-a-million voice.

‘Special voices are rare, and it is worth fighting for as a coach when you hear it,’ he says.

For Jessica, it’s all about the artist’s connection with the song and how they tell their own story within the performance.

‘I want them to make me jump out of my chair to learn more about them as an artist,’ she adds.

The eleventh season of The Voice Australia is hosted by Sonia Kruger.

It comes after spin-off series The Voice Generations aired on Seven earlier this year.

Father-daughter duo Tim, 52, and Caitlin, 23, were crowned the inaugural winners of the series during February’s grand finale.
