Dancing with the Stars US Season 32 is the upcoming season of the popular singing competition show that features four celebrity coaches who mentor aspiring singers and help them achieve their dreams. The show is hosted by Carson Daly, who has been with the show since its inception in 2011. The show will premiere on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
The season 24 coaching panel consists of John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire. John Legend and Gwen Stefani are returning coaches who have both won the show before, while Niall Horan is a second-time coach who made his debut in season 23. Reba McEntire is a new coach who is a country music legend and a former guest advisor on the show. The season 24 coaches will replace Kelly Clarkson, Chance the Rapper, and Blake Shelton, who all left the show after season 23. Blake Shelton’s departure marks the first time that none of the original coaches from season 1 will be on the show.
The season 24 format will follow the same structure as the previous seasons, with some twists and surprises along the way. The show will feature five stages: the blind auditions, the battle rounds, the knockouts, the live playoffs, and the live shows. The blind auditions will allow the coaches to turn their chairs for the singers they want on their teams based on their voice alone. The battle rounds will pit two singers from the same team against each other in a duet, with the coach choosing one to advance and one to eliminate or steal from another coach. The knockouts will have each singer perform a solo song of their choice, with the coach choosing one to advance and one to eliminate or save for later. The live playoffs will have each team perform live for America’s vote, with the top vote-getters from each team advancing to the live shows. The live shows will have the remaining singers compete for America’s vote each week until one is crowned as the winner of The Voice.
