With Strictly Come Dancing 2022 fast approaching, a fresh batch of contestants are polishing off their dancing shoes in the hopes of lifting the Glitterball.
Countryfile presenter and former Blue Peter co-host Helen Skelton was the 15th and final celebrity to join the Strictly Come Dancing 2022 line-up.
She joins previously announced contestants Will Mellor, Kym Marsh, Kaye Adams, Richie Anderson, Jayde Adams, Ellie Simmonds, Tyler West, Matt Goss, Ellie Taylor, Molly Rainford, Tony Adams MBE, Fleur East, Hamza Yassin and James Bye.
The contestants will be taking to the dance floor alongside their partners, who will be chosen from this year’s line-up of professional dancers.
As ever, they’ll have to impress the judging panel, which will this year include Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke, following Bruno Tonioli’s exit earlier in 2022.
But when exactly does Strictly Come Dancing 2022 start? Read on for everything we know so far about the 20th season, including all the confirmed contestants in the line-up, plus more rumoured to be joining them.
An exact release date hasn’t been confirmed just yet for Strictly 2022, but we can make some educated guesses based on previous years.
The 2021 series started on BBC One on Saturday 18th September 2021 with its highly-anticipated launch show, where the Strictly couples were introduced for the first time.
We expect season 20 to air around the same time on the channel in 2022, possibly on Saturday 17th September.
